Coverage area
Us
Colorado only. Every agent is licensed by the Colorado Division of Real Estate and works the same state we do.
Ramsey ELP
National. ELP operates across the United States with agents in markets large and small.
Honest comparison
Ramsey Endorsed Local Providers (ELP) is the real estate referral arm of Ramsey Solutions. Its core promise is alignment with Dave Ramsey's financial philosophy — debt avoidance, the Baby Steps, large down payments — and agents in the program agree to honor that worldview when working with clients. We are different in two ways: we are Colorado-only, and we apply no financial-philosophy litmus test. Our vetting is strictly about license standing, recent performance, references, and review history. If you want a Ramsey-aligned agent, ELP is the literal product for that. If you want a Colorado agent vetted on craft and track record, we are built for that.
At a glance
Both services connect home buyers and sellers with agents the operator considers trustworthy. The difference is what 'trustworthy' means and how each program is structured.

Vetting process
Us
Five gates: Colorado license verification, clean disciplinary record, minimum recent transaction history, two reference checks, and a manual review of recent client reviews.
Ramsey ELP
Endorsement is a Ramsey Solutions process. Agents are vetted for licensing and customer-service standards, with the explicit additional requirement that they align with Ramsey's financial philosophy.
How agents are selected
Us
Hand-reviewed application. We turn agents away. There is no philosophy litmus test — only craft and standing.
Ramsey ELP
Selection includes alignment with Dave Ramsey's worldview on debt, down payments, and personal finance, in addition to performance criteria.
Cost to consumer
Us
Free for buyers and sellers. You pay the agent the standard commission you would pay anyway, with no markup.
Ramsey ELP
Free for buyers and sellers to be matched. You pay the agent the standard commission you would pay anyway.
How agents pay
Us
Flat — a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, with no sign-up fee. Cost is the same whether an agent closes one deal or twenty.
Ramsey ELP
Agents pay to participate in the ELP program. Commercial terms vary; agents do pay to be in the network.
Lead distribution model
Us
We hand you three trusted, vetted local agents — the closed pool covering your ZIP — and never sell your information to outsiders.
Ramsey ELP
Consumers are typically matched to one ELP per market for a given inquiry, though specifics vary by region and demand.
Response SLA
Us
4-hour response window. If the assigned agent does not make contact in time, your lead is automatically reassigned to another vetted agent in the pool.
Ramsey ELP
No published consumer-side SLA. Match speed depends on the local ELP and program operations.
Number of agents who contact you
Us
Just one. We cap each ZIP at up to 3 eligible agents, but only one is assigned to your request at a time.
Ramsey ELP
Generally one ELP per match. The cap mechanics differ from ours and depend on regional ELP availability.
Switching agents
Us
Request a switch within twenty-four hours of the introduction and we reassign you to another vetted agent in the same ZIP — no penalty, no questions.
Ramsey ELP
Switching is possible but goes through Ramsey support. Process specifics vary.
Where the business model creates conflict
Us
Agents pay a flat fee, so referral routing is independent of deal size or commission. Vetting is editorial — we don't have a brand philosophy we need agents to validate.
Ramsey ELP
ELP is part of a broader Ramsey Solutions content and product business. Endorsement is bundled with adherence to a particular financial worldview, which is a feature for some consumers and a constraint for others.

Common questions
Yes — being matched with a Ramsey ELP is free for buyers and sellers. The agent earns their standard commission on the transaction as they would anyway. The commercial side of ELP is on the agent's end: agents pay to participate in the program. We are also free for consumers, with the same standard-commission model.
Yes — alignment with the Ramsey financial philosophy is part of the endorsement criteria. That includes things like favoring larger down payments and avoiding debt structures Dave Ramsey publicly advises against. We do not screen agents on financial philosophy; our vetting is about license standing, recent performance, references, and review history.
Yes. We are a Colorado-specific alternative — vetted on craft rather than philosophy, capped at 3 agents per ZIP, with a 4-hour response SLA. Other national alternatives include Zillow Premier Agent and HomeLight, which work differently again. We have honest comparisons to those on /compare/zillow-premier-agent and /compare/homelight.
Ramsey Solutions runs its own vetting process, which combines licensing checks, performance criteria, customer-service standards, and alignment with the Ramsey financial framework. We are publicly transparent that our vetting does not include a philosophy component — it is five gates focused on craft and standing.
Yes. There is no exclusivity on either side. If you want to talk to a Ramsey-aligned agent and a Colorado-vetted agent and decide between them, both services are free for you to start. The point of these comparison pages is to help you decide which approach fits your situation rather than push you to pick one.
